Intermediate Training Course

Unique to the Richmond area, we offer an intermediate archery training course that will take you to the next stage of your archery.

The beginners’ course taught you the basics of archery and got you hitting the boss. Now learn how to shoot consistently, set up and tune your bow, and to take charge of your archery.

This is not a quick-fix course. There are no magic wands that will get you shooting better. However, if you are willing to analyse your archery, be honest with yourself and not make excuses, and open to trying new options, then this is the course for you.

Over six sessions we cover:

  • setting up a bow
  • bow tuning
  • form
  • aiming
  • goal setting
  • the mental game
  • stabilisation

The course is for those who are attempting to reach second class and above. This is to ensure that you are able apply the information you will be given to your archery. For example, it’s no good learning to tune your bow if you can’t shoot six arrows and get them roughly grouping. We also try to have participants at about the same level so that you can form a support group to encourage each other after the course.

The course is run by Steve Patterson and Alan Cumbers. Please see them if you require any more details.
